Family Reunion

We had a terrific family reunion Father's Day weekend in Young. We took family pictures, played in the creek, and downed watermelon! It was super to have all of our children, spouses, and grandchildren together. It was hard to let Erin an Ken and family leave right after the weekend to head for Germany with the Air Force. As seen in the picture in front of our old black walnut tree, we have seven grandchildren with a new little guy expected to arrive in October. We are so thankful for the blessings of family!

"The Three Little Pigs"

"Grandma, let's do a project!" (Emma)

"Okay, what would you like to try?" (Grandma)

"Let's do a puppet show." (Emma)

"That sounds great. I'll look for some materials." (Grandma)

And that is how our latest project started. Emma designed puppets for the Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. Then she made the three houses: straw, sticks, and bricks. We cut up a left over box from Christmas and presto-change-o we had a puppet theatre. It was so adorable to hear Emma and Eli tell the story with the puppets for the rest of us to watch. Of course Ryder and Molly enjoyed the show and then they wanted to get involved too! We love projects!!!!

A Snowy Day

On my birthday, December 26, a beautiful snow blanketed Young and the surrounding forest. We headed out to enjoy the fluffy white stuff.

Later that day, the Whites headed up to Young and stopped along the way to play along the Young Road.

Christmas in Osan, South Korea

All the way around to the other side of the world, the same Christmas star was seen as the Lancasters celebrated Christmas near the Osan AFB in South Korea. Mail order deliveries closed the gap between Arizona and Korea. Erin even sent us some unique Korean goodies to enjoy. Unfortunately, no one got very excited about the dried squid. But the candy and treats were a hit.

Santa Baby Seth on his first Christmas!

Erin and Seth all bundled up for a walk outside in freezing temperatures!
